It's Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020!

We find it fitting that Global Entrepreneurship Week falls on the week before Thanksgiving, because it's one of the things for which we're most thankful.

GEW 2020

For the uninitiated, Global Entrepreneurship Week is a jam-packed week of ten million people participating in forty thousand events across 180 countries, designed to promote, celebrate, and drive entrepreneurship and innovation. As a give-first company, we look forward to it every year.

Though we often celebrate by organizing and facilitating Startup Weekends, our participation naturally always looks a little different. Still, in the midst of a global pandemic surging again in the United States, it was bound to look even less familiar. This year, we've traded large event spaces and in-person networking with zoom rooms and slack channels. But the spirit remains the same.

And yeah... 2020 has been a year of unprecedented challenges, but we're feeling optimistic — dare I say excited — because each and every time we hang out with innovators and entrepreneurs of today and tomorrow, we see that humanity's capacity to rise to these challenges may well be limitless.

tl;dr Entrepreneurs change the world. All. The. Time.

I hope you'll join us in celebrating this week. Follow along with us on social media and follow the hashtag #GEW2020, and stay engaged.
